I Build It

I give you my love as unto the Lord,

With all my heart and with all my soul.

I give you my trust,

Exposing my thoughts and my emotions.

I hold nothing back.

My heart is in your hand.

My love arises to the challenges it faces.

It fights to remain alive.

It fights to remain forever.

A memorial unto the Lord, I build it.

Stone by stone, I build it.

In the midst of battle, I build it.

In blood and tears, I build it.

Hello,

I am Doris Trueheart, an author, not anyone special, just a woman as any other woman who was born in this earth with a purpose and a destiny.  I am just a woman as any other woman who has heard the voice of God calling her out of chaos to journey with Him and worship Him in a wilderness, there to become his people and He her God.  I am a woman of passion, a woman of faith, a woman of courage, and a woman marked for destiny.  I am a woman who through much trial and turmoil became yielded to the will and purpose of God.  My words to God, my lover, are simply, “I do,” and so I share with you my journey in my book entitled, I Do.

This is a true story with names changed, a compliation of experiences, thoughts, songs and poems that document my journey through my wilderness as I study the Book of Deuteronomy.  We all share similar stories though the circumstances and events of our lives may differ, for we all have journeyed this way before.  For those who may be still wandering through their wilderness, I hope that your faith and courage will be renewed to complete your journey as you walk with me through mine.

My life is an open book; my story is my memorial unto God, shared with you, my reader, that you may worship him in this place.

Have a blessed journey!

All my heart is turned to you and my eyes are fixed on you and my arms take hold of you, Lord, and my arms take hold of you.
